Export Turkish rebar moved down on Wednesday as more solid description of a lower end to offers was heard from sources, showing a reduced expectation for bulk cargoes to the major markets of the Persian Gulf and the USA.
Two large exporters had been heard earlier this week to be offering material at $335/mt FOB, with this level further supported by traders and buyers.
A Turkish trader said that he had heard the price would drop this week to a range of $335-$340/mt, though he believed the lower end of this scale would be for material loading mid-January only.
