St. Louis-based coil coater Precoat Metals has acquired the metal coil coating and processing assets of Consolidated Metal Products (CMP), a business unit of Consolidated Systems Inc. (CSi).
The assets, located in Columbia, S.C., will be operated as Precoat Metals – Columbia, a toll processing facility offering the application of paints and other coatings and films to metal coils, in addition to slitting, blanking, leveling, embossing, and packaging services.
Precoat Metals, a unit of Sequa Corp., now operates 16 coil coating lines in 14 locations, with more than 1,000 employees.
