FERROUS SCRAP FALLS TO US$ 166.2 IN THE U.S. IN NOVEMBER

The November monthly average of TSI’s daily benchmark index for Turkish imports of HMS #1&2 80:20 was US$195.52/tonne, up US$16.98/t from October. 

The index hit a high of US$200/ t in the middle of the month, before dropping to US$190/t at the end of the month. TSI’s monthly US shredded 10-day average index for November was US$166/long ton. 

The monthly average of TSI’s established weekly US domestic shredded scrap index (delivered Midwest mill) fell US$15.05/l. ton (-8.3% m-o-m) to US$166.20/l. ton in November.

The weekly price of US$166/l. ton marked another record low for the index.
