PRICE OF FERROUS SCRAP FALLS IN THE U.S., TURKEY, TAIWAN AND INDIA

Prices of ferrous scrap fell in the U.S., Turkey, Taiwan and China this week (Oct 12-16).

The average prices and variation, according to TSI, were:

- Turkish imports HMS #1&2 80/20 scrap, CFR Turkish port: US$ 173 /metric tonne (-4.9%)

- US domestic obsolete shredded scrap, delivered US mill: US$ 181 /long ton (-0.5%)

- Taiwanese imports HMS #1&2 80/20 scrap, CFR Taiwan port: US$ 140 /metric tonne (-3.4%)

- Indian imports obsolete shredded scrap, CFR Nhava Sheva port: US$ 189 /metric tonne (-8.7%)
