The Samarco initiatives to recover the environment near Mariana, in the Brazilian State of Minas Gerais, were not enough, according to the Brazilian government environmental institute (Ibama).
As a consequence, Ibama applied new fine to Samarco. This time the fine was 42 million reais (US$ 12 million).
