INDIA BECOMES THE THIRD LARGEST PRODUCER OF STEEL, LEAVING BEHIND THE U.S.

 India became the 3rd largest producer of steel globally in Jan. 2015, leaving behind US as the 4th largest producer. 

India was the only country among the major steel producing nations of the world which recorded a positive trend in steel production and consumption in 2015. 

World steel is considering India as the only bright spot amidst global steel crisis that might extend its claws onto 2016 also. Untapped demand potential within the country is what prompted the global markets to consider India as a bright spot.
