The Chinese government blocked Taiwan's participation in a Monday meeting of the OECD's steel committee in Brussels, the Taiwanese government said here Tuesday.
China demanded that Taiwanese officials not be allowed to take part in the meeting organized by the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development and the Belgian government to discuss excess global steel production capacity, claiming the officials' ranks were not high enough, according to the Taiwanese government.
