Iran exported 4.1 million tons of steel in the year to March 19, marking a record in sales of the strategic product to international markets.
Announcing this, Deputy Trade Minister Mehdi Karbasian was quoted by Press TV as saying that Iran's steel exports over the period reached $10 billion.
He added that a record rise in steel exports had already helped pull many producing units out of financial crisis.
