FIRST MINISTER OF WALES SAYS THAT STEEL INDUSTRY IN THE COUNTRY "CANNOT BE ALLOWED TO DIE"

The steel industry in Wales 'cannot be allowed to die' - that's the view of the First Minister of Wales.
Addressing the Welsh Assembly, Carwyn Jones said plants like Port Talbot "vital to the future of the United Kingdom’s interests".
"Britain cannot face a twenty first century where we are dependent exclusively on imported steel. We need capacity to make our own steel and build our own future.
Tata’s decision to put their plants up for sale was deeply disappointing.
The Welsh Government is working closely and tirelessly with Tata and the UK Government to do everything we can to secure a viable and sustainable future."
