JAPAN INCREASED 1.2% THE PRODUCTION OF STEEL IN APRIL BUT OUTPUT FELL 2.3% IN JAN-APRIL

Japan increased the production of crude steel in 1.2% in April, to 8.498 million tonnes.

However, in the period January-April the production fell 2.3% (total of 34.347 million tonnes).
