CHINA CONDEMNS U.S. RESOLUTION AGAINST STEEL IMPORTS

China condemned on Wednesday a US resolution which imposes heavy tariffs on cold-rolled steel produced in the former country.

On Tuesday, the United States Department of Commerce set tariffs at 265.79 percent against selling at a loss, and another surcharge of 256.44 percent against subsidies to imports of cold-rolled steel from China.

The Chinese Ministry of Commerce said in its website that the government is 'very unhappy' with the United States for its final decision on imports of cold-rolled steel.

The Cabinet states that since 2015, Washington has frequently applied corrective measures in trade to try to move the difficulties of its steel industry abroad, violating WTO principles and disrupting trade.
