SCRAP PRICES GO DOWN IN TURKEY, REMAIN STABLE IN THE U.S. AND FALL IN TAIWAN AND INDIA

Ferrous scrap prices went down in Turkey, was stable in the U.S. and had an increase in India and Taiwan in the period of 7 days ended in January 4.

The average prices and variation were:


- Turkish imports HMS #1&2 80/20 scrap, CFR Turkish port: US$ 186 /metric tonne (-1.1%)
- US domestic obsolete shredded scrap, delivered US mill: US$ 170 /long ton (0.0%)
- Taiwanese imports HMS #1&2 80/20 scrap, CFR Taiwan port: US$ 154 /metric tonne (+2.0%)- Indian imports obsolete shredded scrap, CFR Nhava Sheva port: US$ 204 /metric tonne (+0.5%)
