SCRAP FALLS TO US$ 251 IN THE U.S. AND TO US$ 229 IN TURKEY

The price of ferrous scrap fell in the U.S. and in Turkey last week, according to TSI.

However the price jumped 6.8% in Taiwan and remained stable in India.

The main prices and variations were:

- Turkish imports HMS #1&2 80/20 scrap, CFR Turkish port: US$ 229 /metric tonne (-2.6%)

- US domestic obsolete shredded scrap, delivered US mill: US$ 251 /long ton (-3.5%)

- Taiwanese imports HMS #1&2 80/20 scrap, CFR Taiwan port: US$ 204 /metric tonne (+6.8%)

- Indian imports obsolete shredded scrap, CFR Nhava Sheva port: US$ 232 /metric tonne (0.0%)
