COLD SPRING HARBOR TO GET WTC BUILDING STEEL

On Wednesday, Cold Spring Harbor will receive a piece of 9/11 building steel that will eventually be placed on display in a memorial park to be located across the street from the fire department on Main Street, officials said.

The beam is 17 feet long, 4 feet wide, weighs more than 18,000 pounds — and is believed to have once been part of Tower One, according to the Port Authority.
