TATA STEEL IN ROTHERHAM (UK) TRADING AS NORMAL DESPITE BLAZE


A Rotherham steel plant is operating as normal this Thrusday despite an overnight blaze which

 took six hours to extinguish.

The fire at Tata Steel's Aldwarke Lane site was discovered at 1am Thrusday and involved
 thousands of litres of oil.
At the height of the blaze there were 10 fire engines and more than 50 firefighters at the scene.
The fire broke out in a specialist building where hot steel is placed in a bath of oil to cool it down
as part of the production process.
