SCRAP FALLS TO US$ 223 IN TURKEY AND TO US$ 250 IN THE U.S.

The price of ferrous scrap went down 2.6% last week in Turkey, to US$ 223 per tonne.

The price also fell in the U.S., to US$ 250 per long ton (-0,4%).

In Taiwan, the price went up to US$ 205 and remained unchanged at India, at US$232.

The main prices and variation, according to TSI, were:

- Turkish Imports (CFR Iskenderun Port, Turkey) (US$/tonne) 223 -2.6%

- USA (Delivered US Midwest Mill) Shredded (US$/long ton) 250  -0.4% 

- Taiwanese Imports (CFR Taiwan Port) HMS 1/2 80:20 [containerized] (US$/tonne) 205 +0.5% 

- Indian Imports (CFR Indian Port - West Coast) Shredded [containerized] (US$/tonne) 232  0.0%
