The price of ferrous scrap plunged 12.2% in Turkey last week, to US$ 252 per ton.
In the U.S., the price remained at US$ 270 per long ton.
The average prices and variation for the period, according to TSI, were:
- Turkish imports HMS #1&2 80/20 scrap, CFR Turkish port: US$ 252 /metric tonne (-12.2%)
- US domestic obsolete shredded scrap, delivered US mill: US$ 270 /long ton (0.0%)
- Taiwanese imports HMS #1&2 80/20 scrap, CFR Taiwan port: US$ 188 /metric tonne (-1.1%)
- Indian imports obsolete shredded scrap, CFR Nhava Sheva port: US$ 230 /metric tonne (-6.1%)
