Black Sea sales of ferrous scrap into Turkey pressured the deep sea market at the close of the week's trade, sources said May 27.
The bulk market remained comatose, with no trade visible since the start of the month at $330/mt.
Black Sea trades were well talked of however, as sources discussed a sea-bound Ukrainian A3 booking at $220/mt CFR, and a Turkish trader said a Bulgarian merchant had sold earlier in the week at $210/mt CFR.
S&P Global Platts assessed HMS I/II 80:20 CFR Turkey at $275/mt on May 27, down $3/mt from May 26.
