SCRAP GOES UP 1.8% IN THE U.S. AND INCREASES ALSO IN INDIA

Ferrous scrap prices went 1.8% up in the U.S. this week, according to the TSI.

The price also incrased in India and remained stable in Turkey and in Taiwan.

The average prices and variation for the week were:

- Turkish imports HMS #1&2 80/20 scrap, CFR Turkish port: US$ 190 /metric tonne (0%)

- US domestic obsolete shredded scrap, delivered US mill: US$ 169 /long ton (+1.8%)

- Taiwanese imports HMS #1&2 80/20 scrap, CFR Taiwan port: US$ 150 /metric tonne (0.0%)

- Indian imports obsolete shredded scrap, CFR Nhava Sheva port: US$ 202 /metric tonne (+1.0%)
