EU stainless steel base prices were unchanged last week as market activity in the region remained at a standstill, sources told Steel First on Friday December 4.
Steel First's weekly base price assessment for 2mm, grade-304 cold rolled (CR) stainless sheet remained at €1,060-1,090 ($1,133-1,165) per tonne, while prices of grade-316 CR stainless sheet stayed at €1,360-1,390 ($1,453-1,485) per tonne.
The slowdown in trading has continued towards the end of the year, with most market participants preferring to wait until 2016, sources said.
