POLICE IS NOW IN SAMARCO HEADQUARTERS

The Police from the State of Minas Gerais (Brazil) is in the headquarters of Samarco, in Belo Horizonte. There are policemen also in the city of Mariana, where Samarco is also installed.

The Police is getting documents and computers in an operation related to the accident that happened on 5 November 2015, when two dams in Mariana owned by Samarco that contained by-products of iron mining collapsed.

According to sources from the police, the main goal of the operation is to check emails and conversations on-line among Samarco directors.

Samarco released a note related to the operation in which reinforces that is cooperating with the police.
