The US Ferrous scrap export prices managed to hold on to the levels witnessed during a week before. The week reported fewer international bulk cargo deals when compared with the previous weeks. Dock buying prices by ferrous scrap exporters witnessed marginal rise during the week.
US East Coast reported only one bulk sale during the week. The export prices remained more or less flat with marginal rise of 50 cents per tonne when matched with the sales reported a week ago.
The Turkish producer bought 25,000 tonnes of an 80:20 mix of No1 and No2 heavy melting scrap at $229.50 per tonne cfr, 10,000 tonnes of shredded scrap at $234.50 per tonne cfr and 5,000 tonnes of bonus grade scrap at $239.50 per tonne cfr.
