The price of ferrous scrap jumped 12.9% in the U.S. this week, to US$ 253 per long t, according to TSI.
In Turkey the price went up 5.1%, to US$ 246 per metric tonne.
The average prices and variation were:
- Turkish imports HMS #1&2 80/20 scrap, CFR Turkish port: US$ 246 /metric tonne (+5.1%)
- US domestic obsolete shredded scrap, delivered US mill: US$ 253 /long ton (+12.9%)
- Taiwanese imports HMS #1&2 80/20 scrap, CFR Taiwan port: US$ 224 /metric tonne (+2.3%)
- Indian imports obsolete shredded scrap, CFR Nhava Sheva port: US$ 238 /metric tonne (+6.7%)
