SCRAP JUMPS IN TURKEY, TAIWAN AND INDIA; IN THE U.S. A MODEST INCREASE OF 0.5%

Ferrous scrap jumped 6.3% this week in Turkey. 

The product also jumped in Taiwan (+7.8%) and India (+6.2%).

In the U.S. the price had a modest increase of 0.5%.

The average prices and variation were, according to TSI:



- Turkish imports HMS #1&2 80/20 scrap, CFR Turkish port: US$ 221 /metric tonne (+6.3%)

- US domestic obsolete shredded scrap, delivered US mill: US$ 204 /long ton (+0.5%)

- Taiwanese imports HMS #1&2 80/20 scrap, CFR Taiwan port: US$ 194 /metric tonne (+7.8%)

- Indian imports obsolete shredded scrap, CFR Nhava Sheva port: US$ 223 /metric tonne (+6.2%)
