Al Jazeera Steel Products Co on Tuesday announced the appointment of Alagramam Nagarajan Venkataraghavan as the new chief executive officer of the company from March 1.
Venkataraghavan shall replace Bhaskar Dutta who previously functioned as the chief executive officer, Al Jazeera Steel Products Co said in a filing to Muscat Securities Market.
Venkataraghavan is an engineering graduate from Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Rorkee in metallurgy with additional management and financial qualification from XLRI, Jamshedpur, India.
He has more than 25 years of experience in steel industry, lastly as a senior member of Emirates Steel as vice president – sales.
In September last year, Dutta had resigned from his position as the CEO of Al Jazeera Steel Products Co on personal grounds. The board of directors of Al Jazeera Steel Products Co later accepted the resignation of Dutta.
