FERROUS SCRAP PRICES FALL IN THE U.S., TURKEY, TAIWAN AND INDIA

The prices of ferrous scrap went down this week (Oct 5-9) in the U.S., Turkey, Taiwan and India.

The average prices and variation, according to TSI, were:

- Turkish imports HMS #1&2 80/20 scrap, CFR Turkish port: US$ 182 /metric tonne (-5.2%)

- US domestic obsolete shredded scrap, delivered US mill: US$ 182 /long ton (-8.1%)

- Taiwanese imports HMS #1&2 80/20 scrap, CFR Taiwan port: US$ 145 /metric tonne (-8.2%)

- Indian imports obsolete shredded scrap, CFR Nhava Sheva port: US$ 207 /metric tonne (-4.6%)
